Happy Halloween!
I always think of my clients at this time of year because the Halloween experience really does center around the home: decorating it and welcoming neighborhood visitors to stop by and say “Trick-or-Treat!”
Moreover, it’s a holiday that is really about our children – decorating together, carving pumpkins, picking out/designing costumes, and parading around the neighborhood collecting candy. Halloween brings out the child in all of us, young and old!
With 2020 being such a difficult and unprecedented year and many being uncertain of how to keep Halloween alive for their children while keeping safe, I thought I’d offer you some ideas for this year:
- Go all out and really decorate your house for your children to enjoy
- Decorate and stuff individual bags or cups of candy for Trick-or-Treaters to grab instead of a communal candy bowl
- Set up a candy graveyard in your front lawn with candy hiding behind certain gravestones and have your visitors explore one-at-a-time
