Thinking about getting your home on the market when things are a little back to normal?

INVEST SMALL, WIN BIG

First impressions are everything in selling a home quickly. A fresh coat of paint on the interior or exterior is a low-cost improvement that makes a big statement

NAR 2019 states, a new coat for the interior of your home results in a 107% on the return on investment (ROI), and painting the exterior leads to a 55% ROI.

JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

The 60-30-10 Percentage Rule:
60 percent is the body of the home, 30 percent is the garage doors and trim. The final 10 percent is the front and shutters, with just a pop of color.

Pro Tip: no more than three colors.

IT'S WHAT'S ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS

Select warm neutral colors. These make it easier for potential buyers to imagine themselves living there.

Beiges, tans, golds, grays and “greige”—a blend of gray and beige.

PROFIT FROM PAINTING

Front Door: Black and charcoal gray are optimal colors to consider. These colors sell for an average of $6,271 more than expected.

Kitchen: Stay away from red. Opt for colors found in nature. Grays and mild blues in the kitchen increase the home’s value by $1,809 according to Zillow.

COLOR CORRECTED

Bathroom: Blue bathrooms increase home values by $5,440. Light periwinkle increases the value by $2,786.

Bedroom: Homes with a soft cerulean color have been proven to boost home value.

Living Room: Neutrals can add $2,000 to the home’s sale.

We hope that you and your family are safe and well.
